Android Developer

As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality mobile applications for our clients. You will work closely with our team of developers and designers to create user-friendly and visually appealing applications that meet our clients' needs. This position is located in Svalbard and offers a salary of 1400$ per month. We do not provide accommodation, but we do offer visa sponsorship for non-Svalbard citizens.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and fix bugs to improve application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Android development
- Proven experience with Java and Kotlin programming languages
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Understanding of Google's Material Design principles
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Published at least one original Android app on Google Play Store
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
