Typesetter

We are in need of an experienced Typesetter to join our publishing team in Svalbard. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images to create visually appealing and error-free printed materials. Your attention to detail and strong technical skills will ensure that our publications meet industry standards and deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize typesetting software to format text, images, and other visual elements according to design specifications
- Proofread content for accuracy in spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to ensure consistency and quality of final product
- Troubleshoot formatting issues as needed
- Maintain organized files and adhere to project schedules

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role
- Proficiency in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members

Salary: This position offers a salary of $1400 per month without accommodation. We also welcome candidates who have their own visa.

Location: This is a full-time position located in Svalbard. While we prefer candidates who are already located here, we are open to considering candidates who are willing to relocate.
