Plasterboard Worker
A plasterboard worker is responsible for installing and finishing plasterboard on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in commercial and residential buildings. They must have experience in using a variety of tools, such as saws, drills, and trowels to cut and shape the plasterboard to fit the desired space. The worker must also be able to apply joint compound and drywall tape to create a smooth surface for painting or wallpapering.
The ideal candidate for this role should have prior experience working with plasterboard and be able to work independently or as part of a team. They should also have strong attention to detail, as well as physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials. This position requires the ability to read blueprints and measurements accurately, as well as the flexibility to work in different locations.
Salary: $1400 per month.
Location: Svalbard, a remote archipelago located between Norway and the North Pole.
Employment Type: Part time (20 hours per week).
Experience Requirements: Prior experience working with plasterboard is preferred but not required for this position. Training will be provided for candidates who possess transferable skills such as carpentry or construction work.

Freshers/Entry-level Candidates: Freshers with an interest in learning about the construction industry are encouraged to apply for this position. Training will be provided for those with no prior experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install plasterboard according to specifications
- Apply joint compound and drywall tape to create smooth surfaces
- Repair damaged plasterboard and make necessary adjustments
- Read and interpret blueprints and measurements accurately
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
- Collaborate with other workers to complete projects on time
