Experienced Turner in Svalbard

We are seeking an experienced Turner to join our team in Svalbard. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to create precision metal parts. Your duties will include reading and interpreting blueprints, setting up machines, and monitoring the production process to ensure quality standards are met.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Turner
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Experience with various machine tools such as lathes, grinders, and milling machines
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools to perform turning, drilling, milling, grinding, and other metalworking operations
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications for parts
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished products
- Monitor the production process and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards
- Inspect finished products for defects or imperfections
- Maintain machinery by performing routine maintenance tasks
- Follow safety protocols at all times

Salary: $1600 per month

Location: Svalbard (accommodation not provided)

Note: This job is open to all nationalities but a valid work visa must be obtained independently. Freshers with relevant education or experience may also be considered.
