Dismantler - Svalbard Contract
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dismantler to join our team in Svalbard. As a Dismantler, you will be responsible for disassembling machinery and equipment as well as removing parts and components for repair or recycling.
Responsibilities:
- Disassemble machinery and equipment according to specifications
- Remove parts and components for repair or recycling
- Sort and organize dismantled parts for efficient storage
- Inspect parts for damage or wear and report any issues to supervisor
- Clean and prep dismantled parts for repair or recycling
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Dismantler or in a similar role
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in dismantling machinery
- Ability to read technical manuals and specifications
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per month.
Contract:
This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment based on performance.
Location:
This position is located in Svalbard, an archipelago situated between Norway and the North Pole. Svalbard offers unique opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, snowmobiling, and dog sledding. It is also home to diverse wildlife including polar bears, reindeer, Arctic foxes, and more.
