Industrial Alpinist in Svalbard


We are hiring an experienced Industrial Alpinist to join our team in Svalbard, a remote and challenging location. As an Industrial Alpinist, you will perform maintenance, construction, and inspection tasks in high altitude and hard-to-reach areas using specialized equipment and techniques. You must have a valid biometric passport and be comfortable working on short-term contracts without accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Perform rope access work in various industrial settings such as oil rigs, wind turbines, bridges, and buildings
- Conduct visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) on structures using appropriate methods and tools
- Install or remove equipment, materials or components using rigging techniques
- Complete maintenance tasks such as painting, welding, cleaning or repairs at height
- Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Industrial Alpinist or similar role with a solid understanding of rope access techniques
- Valid IRATA or SPRAT certification with a minimum level of 2
- Physically fit with the ability to work in extreme weather conditions and at heights
- Proficient in using specialized equipment such as ascenders, descenders, harnesses, and lanyards
- Knowledge of NDT methods is a plus
- Biometric passport for international travel
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
