Senior Architect - Svalbard

As a Senior Architect in our Svalbard office, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of buildings and structures. Your role will involve collaborating with clients to understand their needs and preferences, developing comprehensive design plans, and managing the construction process from start to finish. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all projects meet industry standards and regulations.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in architecture, as well as excellent project management skills. You should also have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and other team members. Additionally, experience with sustainable design principles and knowledge of local building codes in Svalbard is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Develop comprehensive design plans for buildings and structures
- Oversee the construction process from start to finish
- Ensure that all projects meet industry standards and regulations
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other team members
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in sustainable design practices
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an architect
- Proven track record of successful project management
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other architectural software
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles is preferred
- Familiarity with local building codes in Svalbard is a plus
