Junior Accountant

We are a fast-growing accounting firm located in Svalbard and we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial statements, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, and providing support to senior accountants. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in accounting and gain valuable experience.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements
- Help maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable
- Prepare tax returns and assist with audits
- Provide support to senior accountants as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quickbooks, etc.)
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in an accounting role is preferred but not required

Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
