Senior Accountant


We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Svalbard. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and analyzing data to inform decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting and financial management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This is an urgent job opportunity with a salary of 1300$ per month, free visa and ticket provided. Accommodation is not included. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
- Monitor budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy
- Develop and implement accounting procedures to improve efficiency
- Review financial statements for discrepancies or errors
- Prepare tax returns and assist with audits as needed
- Train junior accounting staff on best practices and procedures
- Communicate with clients or stakeholders regarding financial matters

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Location:
This position is located in Svalbard. While preference will be given to candidates already residing in the area, we are open to considering candidates from other locations.

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1300$ per month, with potential for bonuses based on performance.

Visa and Ticket:
This is an urgent job opportunity and we will provide free visa and ticket for the selected candidate.

Accommodation:
Accommodation is not included in this position. The selected candidate will be responsible for finding their own housing in Svalbard.
