Job Title: Electrical Technician - Contract Position in Svalbard


We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Technician to join our team on a contract basis in the beautiful city of Svalbard. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. This position offers a competitive salary of 1800$ per month and is open to applicants of all nationalities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment according to safety standards
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals to determine wiring layouts and configurations
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems including cleaning, lubricating, or replacing parts as necessary
- Keep accurate records of all work performed including maintenance logs and equipment inventory
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an electrician or electrical technician
- Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations
- Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in the trade
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals
- Strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical or vocational training in electrical systems or related field
- Experience working with solar or renewable energy systems is a plus
