Head Chef
We are in search of an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in the beautiful city of Svalbard. The ideal candidate must have a passion for creating culinary masterpieces and a strong background in both traditional and modern cooking techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and manage kitchen staff
- Create innovative and delicious menu items using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients
- Ensure quality control and consistency in all dishes served
- Monitor food cost and inventory levels to maintain profitability
- Train and develop kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Collaborate with management to plan special events and menu promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of different cuisine styles, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Creativity and ability to develop unique dishes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
Salary: $1600 per month
