Instrument Technician - Svalbard


We are in need of an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Svalbard. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments and control systems. This includes troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and calibrate new instruments according to manufacturer specifications
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on existing instruments
- Troubleshoot any issues with instruments or control systems
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs and calibration reports
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and make necessary repairs as needed
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure smooth operation of instruments and systems
- Stay up-to-date on new technology and advancements in the field

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician
- Diploma or certification in a related field
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
