Instrument Technician - Svalbard (Contract)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Svalbard on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instrumentation and control systems used in industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and calibrate new instruments according to manufacturer's specifications
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning instruments and control systems
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on existing instruments
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs and calibration reports
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to complete projects on time and within budget
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in instrumentation technology

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or associate degree in instrumentation or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, schematics, and blueprints
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and pressure gauges
- Familiarity with various types of instrumentation including pressure transmitters, level sensors, flow meters, and temperature controllers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Svalbard (relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate)
