Radio Technician

A well-established radio station in Svalbard is seeking a skilled and experienced Radio Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radio technology and a passion for providing high-quality audio and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair radio equipment including transmitters, receivers, antennas, and transmission lines
- Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and provide timely solutions
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and installations
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of audio broadcasts
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in radio technology to continually improve our equipment and processes

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Electronics or related field is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Radio Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of radio broadcasting technology and equipment such as transmitters, receivers, antennas, etc.
- Familiarity with FCC regulations and guidelines
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure

Salary: $1300 per month (without accommodation)
Visa Sponsorship: Available for qualified candidates.
Location: Svalbard (Preference for local candidates)
