Crane operator vacancy in Svalbard Norway

Crane Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Svalbard. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment on construction sites. This is an urgent job opportunity, so we are looking for candidates who are able to start immediately.

Responsibilities:
- Operate different types of cranes including tower cranes, mobile cranes, and overhead cranes
- Read and interpret blueprints and lifting plans
- Inspect equipment before use and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Safely lift, move, and position materials using the crane
- Communicate with ground crew through hand signals or radio communication
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Crane Operator in a construction setting
- Valid crane operator certification or license from recognized training institute
- Strong knowledge of crane operation techniques, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints and lifting plans accurately
- Good communication skills both verbally and through hand signals
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of $1800 per month for this full-time position.

Location:
This job is located in Svalbard. Please note that accommodation will not be provided for this position. Candidates must have their own visa to work in the country.
