Welder - Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team in Svalbard. As a Welder, you will use your expertise in welding and fabrication techniques to create high-quality metal structures and products. This position requires a strong attention to detail, ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and proficiency in welding methods such as MIG, TIG, and Stick. You must also have knowledge of various materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other specifications
- Use welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick to fabricate metal structures and products
- Ensure the quality of welds by conducting inspections and making necessary adjustments
- Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Work with various materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time
- Follow safety protocols at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in welding or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Welder or similar role
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding methods
- Knowledge of different types of materials used in welding (steel, aluminum, stainless steel)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality welds
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, lifting heavy objects
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Salary: $1200 per month

Location: Svalbard

This is a full-time position with accommodation provided. Candidates must have their own visa for working in Svalbard.
