Part-Time Welder


We are hiring a skilled and experienced Welder for a part-time position in Svalbard. As a Welder, you will be responsible for joining metal parts by using high heat to melt and fuse them together. Your primary duties will include reading and interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate welding techniques, and inspecting finished products for quality control. Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder or similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid biometric passport.
- Basic understanding of welding techniques and equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings.
- Familiarity with safety precautions and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Good physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and work in various positions.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding techniques.
- Set up welding machines based on the job specifications.
- Use hand tools, such as chisels, hammers, grinders, etc., to prepare materials for welding.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments together.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times during the welding process.
- Maintain accurate records of production quantities and hours worked.

Salary:
We offer competitive pay starting at 1300$ per month based on experience.

Location:
This position is based in Svalbard. Please note that accommodation is not provided, so preference will be given to candidates who are already living in Svalbard or have housing arrangements in place.
