Head Pastry Chef
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Svalbard. As the head of our pastry department, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the production of all our delicious pastries and desserts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing new pastry recipes
- Managing inventory and ordering necessary ingredients
- Overseeing the production process to ensure quality and consistency
- Training and supervising junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of various pastry techniques and equipment
- Creativity in designing unique desserts and pastries
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or relevant field
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1300 per month, along with potential bonuses based on performance.
Location:
This position is located in Svalbard, an archipelago situated between mainland Norway and the North Pole. While not required, preference will be given to candidates who are willing to relocate.
