We are in need of a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team at our renowned bakery in the city of Svalbard. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries, as well as experience in various baking techniques and decorating skills.

Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of pastries and desserts, including cakes, pies, tarts, cookies, and other specialty items
- Develop new recipes and flavors while also maintaining consistency with existing menu items
- Ensure high quality standards are met in terms of taste, presentation, and freshness
- Manage inventory levels for ingredients and supplies to minimize waste and ensure availability for daily production needs
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper baking techniques and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with the management team to plan seasonal menus and special event offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-volume bakery or restaurant
- In-depth knowledge of various baking techniques and methods for both classic and modern pastries
- Creativity in designing new recipes while also maintaining traditional flavors
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively train and manage a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Degree or certification from an accredited culinary program is preferred

Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: This position is located in Svalbard, an archipelago situated between mainland Norway and the North Pole. While this location is preferred, we are open to candidates from other countries with appropriate work permits.
