Head Pastry Chef

We are in search of a highly skilled Head Pastry Chef to lead our team in the beautiful city of Svalbard. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing delectable desserts and pastries for our restaurant. Your creativity and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our establishment.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new pastry recipes that align with our restaurant's concept and meet customer expectations
- Train and manage a team of pastry chefs, ensuring they adhere to quality standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Oversee the plating and presentation of desserts to ensure they are visually appealing
- Collaborate with other chefs to create balanced menus that feature both savory dishes and desserts
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed in the production of pastries

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with at least 3 years in a leadership position
- Strong knowledge of various pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating
- In-depth understanding of food safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining a positive work culture

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred but not required
- Must have relevant certifications from culinary institutions or workshops
- Experience working in fine dining restaurants is preferred

Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Svalbard (preference for local or European candidates)
