Land Surveyor


As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys on the land in Svalbard to collect and analyze data for various projects. Your main duties will include using specialized equipment to measure and map land features, analyzing data to determine property boundaries and topographical characteristics, and preparing detailed reports for clients. You will also work closely with other professionals such as engineers, architects, and construction managers to ensure accurate and efficient completion of projects.

Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Land Surveyor
- Experience with using surveying tools such as total stations, GPS receivers, and drones
- Strong understanding of land surveying principles and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret maps, plans, and legal documents
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Biometric passport is preferred but not required
- Willingness to live in Svalbard with provided accommodation

Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys using various tools and techniques to collect accurate data
- Analyze survey data to determine property boundaries, elevations, and other topographical features
- Prepare detailed reports including maps, charts, and legal descriptions for clients
- Collaborate with other professionals on project teams to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise
- Follow safety procedures at all times while working on site

Work Environment:
As a Land Surveyor in Svalbard, you will work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions. This may include extreme cold temperatures during the winter months. You may also be required to travel to different locations within Svalbard for different projects.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1300 per month. Accommodation will be provided by the company.

Preferred Qualifications:
Although not required, candidates with a biometric passport are preferred as it may expedite the process of obtaining necessary permits to work in Svalbard.
