Land Surveyor
As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting precise and accurate measurements of land and its features. You will use specialized equipment and technology to collect data and create maps, reports, and other documents. Your work will play a critical role in the planning, development, and maintenance of land projects.
Responsibilities:
- Use surveying equipment such as GPS, total stations, and laser levels to measure land features
- Collect data on land boundaries, topography, existing structures, and other relevant information
- Create accurate maps and reports using computer software
- Analyze data to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to provide necessary information for projects
- Conduct site visits to gather additional information or verify existing data
- Keep detailed records of all surveying activities
- Follow safety procedures at all times while working on site
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related field
- Previous experience as a Surveyor preferred
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles and techniques
- Familiarity with GPS technology and surveying software
- Ability to interpret plans, maps, and legal documents related to land boundaries
- Excellent mathematical skills for precise measurements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills for collaborating with different teams on projects
