Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team in Svalbard. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate materials needed
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, tape measures, or marking gauges
- Cut and shape materials using hand or power tools such as saws, chisels, drills, sanders, etc.
- Assemble prepared woodwork according to specifications including fitting joints and laminating
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, flooring, trim, etc.
- Repair or replace damaged or defective parts using hand tools
- Finish surfaces of woodwork by sanding or applying paint or varnish
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings and use measuring tools accurately
- Proficient in using hand/power tools safely and effectively
- Physically fit with good manual dexterity
- Attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good time-management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines
- Must be male (due to physical demands of the job)
