Courier Supervisor

As a Courier Supervisor in Svalbard, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery operations of our company. You will oversee a team of couriers and ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in a safe manner. This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage and motivate a team. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of deliveries, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that all company policies and procedures are followed.

To excel in this role, you must have excellent organizational and time management skills. You should also have previous experience working in the courier industry and be familiar with delivery routes in Svalbard. Strong communication skills are also essential, as you will need to liaise with customers, suppliers, and other internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of couriers and ensure timely and safe delivery of packages
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock for deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and report any discrepancies
- Oversee maintenance of company vehicles used for deliveries
- Manage schedules for couriers based on delivery volume
- Monitor performance of couriers and provide feedback when necessary
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery updates or issues
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of packages for delivery

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in the courier industry
- Familiarity with delivery routes in Svalbard
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in record keeping and inventory management
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if needed
