Loader Operator



As a Loader Operator in Svalbard, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to load and transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and construction materials. You will work with a team to ensure efficient and safe loading of materials onto trucks, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Operate various types of loaders including front-end, skid steer, and backhoe loaders
- Load and transport materials according to project requirements
- Communicate with team members to ensure proper placement and distribution of materials
- Inspect equipment before and after use for any damages or malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation
- Follow safety protocols at all times to avoid accidents or injuries
- Maintain a clean work area by removing debris and properly storing equipment
- Report any issues or concerns with equipment or materials to supervisor

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating loaders preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of safety protocols for operating heavy machinery
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
