Part-Time Information Security Analyst


We are in need of a skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's information systems and data. Your main duties will include conducting security assessments, implementing security controls, monitoring for vulnerabilities and threats, and providing recommendations for improving our overall security posture. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for information security looking to gain experience in the field while working part-time hours.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Strong understanding of information security principles and best practices
- Knowledge of network and system security protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, SSL)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g. Nessus, Qualys)
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux) and databases
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Salary: $1400 per month (based on 20 hours/week)

Location: US (remote work available)

Preferred but not required:
- Previous experience as an Information Security Analyst or in a similar role
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CompTIA Security+
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. HIPAA, GDPR)
- Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends
