Preservation Architect
We have an exciting opportunity for a Preservation Architect to join our team in the US. As a preservation architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. Your main duties will include conducting site surveys, developing preservation plans, and overseeing the restoration process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough site surveys to assess the condition of historic buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans that take into account the historical significance of the site and any necessary structural repairs or modifications
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure proper restoration techniques are used
- Oversee the restoration process to ensure that all work is completed according to plan and within budget
- Communicate with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders regarding project updates and progress
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for historic preservation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an architect with a focus on preservation projects
- Strong knowledge of architectural history and styles
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines for historic preservation
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
This is a part-time position with a salary of $1000 per month. We do not provide accommodation for this role. Candidates must have a valid biometric passport or be able to obtain one before starting employment.
