Instrument Technician - Maintenance and Repair Specialist
As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of instruments used in a variety of industries. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment such as control systems, sensors, transmitters, and other electronic components. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and perform regular maintenance tasks to prevent downtime. This position requires experience in a similar role, preferably with knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation technology, and PLC programming. Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential for this role. A valid visa is preferred but not required. We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month along with accommodation options. This position is located in the US.
As an Instrument Technician - Maintenance and Repair Specialist your duties will include:
- Performing regular maintenance on various instruments to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshooting issues with control systems, sensors, transmitters, and other electronic components
- Diagnosing problems and utilizing technical knowledge to repair equipment
- Collaborating with other technicians and engineers to identify solutions for complex issues
- Conducting routine inspections on equipment to identify potential problems before they occur
- Documenting all maintenance activities accurately for record keeping purposes
- Keeping up-to-date with latest technology advancements in instrumentation
- Adhering to safety protocols at all times while working on equipment
- Communicating effectively with team members and superiors about any issues or concerns
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment at all times
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
- Knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation technology, PLC programming preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
- Valid visa preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical certification preferred
