Pastry Chef
Location: US
We are seeking a creative and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in the US. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods for our customers. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to recipes and customer requests
- Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings, and fillings to enhance their appearance
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; place orders as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the pastry kitchen
- Ensure all food safety standards are followed during preparation and storage
- Train new pastry team members on recipes, techniques, and equipment usage
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service for all orders
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient measurements, and food safety standards
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail in decorating pastries
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong communication skills
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)
