Information Security Analyst - Contract Position (Oslo)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to join our team in Oslo on a contract basis. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our company's information systems and data, as well as providing guidance and support to other employees in regards to security protocols. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain experience in the field of information security.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security threats
- Monitor network traffic and system activity for any signs of unauthorized access or malicious activity
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect company data and systems
- Investigate and respond to any reported security incidents or breaches
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies
- Provide training and guidance to employees on best practices for maintaining information security

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (students working towards their degree will also be considered)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, databases, and web applications
- Familiarity with common security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data sets
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of 1700$ per month for this contract position. In addition, accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract.

Location:
This position is located in Oslo, Norway. While we welcome all applicants regardless of nationality or location, preference will be given to candidates who are already based in Oslo or have experience working in Norway.
