Data Mining Analyst


As a Data Mining Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of complex data to identify patterns and trends. Your role will involve utilizing various software tools and statistical techniques to gather insights and make data-driven decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide actionable recommendations based on your findings. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize data mining techniques to extract valuable insights from large datasets
- Analyze data using statistical methods to identify patterns and trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide actionable recommendations
- Develop predictive models and algorithms to support decision making
- Clean and preprocess data for analysis
- Create visualizations and reports to present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Continuously monitor data quality, identifying any issues or discrepancies
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data mining techniques

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Proven experience as a Data Mining Analyst or similar role
- Proficiency in SQL, R or Python programming languages
- Hands-on experience with data mining software (e.g. RapidMiner, SAS)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines

Salary: 1200$ per month

Location: Oslo (Candidates of all nationalities welcome)
