Database Administrator - Oslo, Norway


We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Oslo, Norway. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's databases to ensure their optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing and maintaining databases in accordance with business needs
- Developing data backup and recovery plans
- Monitoring database performance and addressing any issues
- Ensuring data security and integrity through regular maintenance and updates
- Collaborating with other IT professionals to troubleshoot database-related problems
- Implementing database upgrades and patches as needed
- Conducting regular audits of databases to identify and address any potential issues or vulnerabilities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding standards
- Experience with data backup and recovery methods
- Knowledge of SQL language for querying databases
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)

Compensation:
This is a contract position with a salary of $1300 per month. Our company does not provide accommodation.
