We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our dynamic team in Oslo. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases, ensuring their security, integrity, and availability. You will work closely with our development team to design and implement efficient database structures and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal functioning
- Develop procedures for data backup, disaster recovery, and system security
- Identify data inconsistencies and work to resolve them promptly
- Collaborate with development team to design new database structures and modify existing ones
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and upgrades
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis
- Ensure data integrity by implementing proper data validation techniques
- Generate reports on database performance and usage

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS)
- Proficient in SQL programming language
- Experience with database design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of data backup, disaster recovery, and system security procedures
- Strong communication skills
