Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing backup and recovery plans
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new databases or modifications to existing ones
- Provide technical support to end users on database related issues
- Stay up-to-date with latest developments in database technology and make recommendations for improvements

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL databases
- Strong knowledge of database security, backup/recovery strategies and performance tuning techniques
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail with an analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Fluent in English (Norwegian is a plus)
