Facade Engineer

We are hiring a skilled Facade Engineer to join our team in Oslo. As a Facade Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and constructing building facades that are both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound. Your role will involve collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that the facade design meets all necessary requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and oversee the construction of building facades
- Conduct site surveys and assess the feasibility of proposed designs
- Create detailed drawings and specifications for facade materials and construction methods
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop a cohesive facade design
- Use specialized software to simulate wind loads, thermal performance, and other factors that may affect the facade design
- Monitor construction progress to ensure that all work is completed according to plans and specifications
- Troubleshoot any issues or challenges that arise during construction
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure the facade meets all safety standards
- Stay updated on industry trends, developments, and advancements in facade technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facade design and construction
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to facades
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software used for drafting technical drawings
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
