Executive Chef
We are in search of an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Oslo, Norway. As the head of the kitchen, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and presentation, as well as managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that align with current food trends and meet the needs of our guests
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for all food items
- Ensure high quality standards are met for all dishes served
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation and consistent quality
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth functioning of all food-related operations
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in accordance with health codes and company policies
- Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques to continuously improve menu offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with other departments
