Junior Librarian

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Librarian to join our team at our library in Oslo. As a Junior Librarian, you will assist in the daily operations of the library including shelving books, organizing materials, and assisting patrons with finding resources. This is an entry-level position that does not require prior experience, but a passion for literature and knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Shelving books and organizing materials according to the library's system
- Assisting patrons with finding resources and providing basic reference services
- Checking in and out books using the library's computer system
- Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the library shelves, tables, and study areas
- Assisting with special projects such as creating displays or organizing events
- Attending training sessions to learn about new books or technologies

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
- Passion for literature and knowledge
