Head Chef - Oslo, Norway
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our restaurant team in Oslo, Norway. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing our menu offerings, managing kitchen operations, and supervising a team of sous chefs and kitchen staff. We are seeking a creative and passionate individual with a strong culinary background who can bring new ideas and techniques to our menu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menu offerings that reflect our restaurant's concept and cater to our customers' preferences
- Manage food inventory, ordering, and cost control to ensure profitability
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques, sanitation standards, and safety regulations
- Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak times
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for kitchen staff
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Proficient in inventory management and cost control
