Pastry Chef
Location: Oslo, Norway
An upscale restaurant in Oslo is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of delectable desserts and pastries that will leave our guests coming back for more. You must have a passion for baking and a keen eye for detail to ensure that every plate looks as good as it tastes. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a high-end restaurant or hotel, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute unique and visually appealing pastries and desserts that align with our menu offerings
- Ensure all baked goods are prepared and presented according to established standards
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, placing orders when needed
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff on proper techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Pastry Chef in an upscale restaurant or hotel setting
- Proven track record of creating visually stunning pastries and desserts
- Knowledge of various baking techniques, including bread making, cake decorating, chocolate work, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
- Food Handler's Certificate is preferred
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month for this position.
