Database Administrator


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Administrator to join our team in Os, Norway. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their security, stability, and optimal performance. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1700$, inclusive of accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain databases for various applications and systems.
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure data integrity and security by regularly backing up data and implementing appropriate access controls.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database design for new applications.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as database updates, patches, and upgrades.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and migration processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as Amazon RDS or Microsoft Azure SQL Database.
- Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional).
