A reputable technology company in Osaka, Japan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join their team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, performance, and security of our company's databases. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1300$ per month.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and ensure data integrity
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with the database systems
- Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies
- Manage database security and access controls
- Collaborate with developers to optimize database design and functionality
- Upgrade databases and implement new features as needed
- Provide technical support to end-users when necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS, Microsoft Azure)
- Familiarity with biometric passport systems
