A leading IT company in Oslo is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our growing team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's databases. Your primary goal will be to ensure the security, availability, and performance of our databases.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient and secure database structures
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop data backup and recovery plans
- Ensure data integrity and security through regular audits and updates
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to optimize database functionality
- Train users on how to access and use the database effectively

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database structure, theories, principles, and practices
- Proficiency in SQL and other database languages
- Experience with database security procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database
- Knowledge of data warehousing techniques
- Familiarity with Agile development methods

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per month for this position.

Location:
This position is based in Oslo, Norway. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.
