We are hiring a skilled Turner for a contract position in Os, Norway. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating lathes and other machine tools to shape metal parts as per specifications. Your main duties will include reading blueprints, selecting proper cutting tools, setting up and adjusting machines, and ensuring quality control of finished parts. This is an urgent job and requires immediate availability.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathes and other machine tools to shape metal parts
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
- Select appropriate cutting tools based on materials being used
- Set up machines by adjusting speeds, feeds, and tooling according to specifications
- Verify dimensions of finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot issues with machines or finished products
- Maintain safe working conditions by adhering to company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Turner or similar role
- Knowledge of various machining techniques and equipment operation
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Immediate availability for this urgent job

Salary:
The salary for this contract position is $1200 per month.
