Metal Turner for a Fabrication Company in Oslo, Norway



We are a fabrication company located in Oslo, Norway and we are seeking an experienced Metal Turner to join our team. As a Metal Turner, you will be responsible for operating lathes and other metalworking machinery to shape and form metal parts according to precise specifications. You will work with a variety of metals including steel, aluminum, and brass to produce parts for various projects.

Responsibilities:
- Operate lathes and other metalworking machinery to shape and form metal parts
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Set up machines and adjust settings as needed
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Metal Turner or similar role
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with various types of metals and their properties
- Ability to operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other metalworking machinery
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification is preferred
- Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to working with machinery
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
