Preservation Architect
Our architecture firm in Os is seeking a highly skilled Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings, structures, and landmarks while adhering to strict preservation guidelines. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and historical organizations to ensure the integrity of the original design is maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on historical buildings and structures to understand their original design and materials used
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local, state, and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure their vision aligns with preservation standards
- Coordinate with contractors and oversee restoration projects to ensure accuracy and quality of work
- Communicate with historical organizations to obtain necessary approvals for restoration projects
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Document all restoration processes and maintain accurate records for future reference
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Preservation Architect or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of preservation guidelines, regulations, and procedures
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and techniques used in historical buildings
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and historical organizations
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Salary: $1300/month
