Preservation Architect - Contract Position in Os, Norway
Our architectural firm is seeking a Preservation Architect to join our team for a contract position in Os, Norway. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for historical preservation and architecture to gain valuable experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site surveys and assessments of historic buildings and structures
- Developing preservation plans and strategies
- Collaborating with other architects, engineers, and contractors on preservation projects
- Managing project budgets and timelines
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
- Overseeing construction work to ensure adherence to preservation standards
- Conducting research on historical styles, materials, and techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in preservation architecture or a related field
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to historical preservation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Benefits:
This is a contract position with an attractive salary of 1700$ per month. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract. We can also assist with obtaining a work visa if necessary.
