Preservation Architect
A reputable architectural firm in Os, Norway is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. This is a part-time position that offers a competitive salary of $1100 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits to assess the condition of historical buildings and structures
- Developing preservation plans to ensure the long-term maintenance and sustainability of historical sites
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to oversee restoration projects
- Researching and analyzing historical documents, materials, and construction techniques to inform preservation efforts
- Preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation projects
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for preservation work
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- At least 3 years of experience working as a Preservation Architect
- Excellent knowledge of historical preservation techniques, materials, and codes
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other design software
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients
