Preservation Architect
A reputable architecture firm in Os is seeking a Preservation Architect to join our team on a contract basis. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures to their original state. This role requires an eye for detail, strong knowledge of historical preservation techniques, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans and recommend appropriate restoration techniques
- Oversee restoration projects and ensure adherence to preservation standards
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to develop project scopes and budgets
- Conduct research on historical buildings and materials to inform preservation decisions
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for restoration projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Proven experience in historical preservation projects
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, conservation principles, and materials used in historical structures
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
Preferred:
- Professional licensure as an architect
- Experience working with government agencies responsible for historic preservation
