Preservation Architect
A reputable architectural firm based in Os is seeking a skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team on a contract basis. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, while also ensuring they meet current safety and building codes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine their condition and any necessary preservation or restoration work
- Develop detailed plans and designs for preservation and restoration projects
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and construction professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for preservation projects
- Oversee construction work to ensure it adheres to preservation standards and timelines
- Regularly inspect completed projects to ensure quality and longevity of preservation efforts
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments, techniques, materials, and equipment related to preservation architecture
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Preservation Architect
- Extensive knowledge of historical preservation principles, techniques, materials, and processes
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and historic preservation guidelines
- Excellent design skills with an eye for detail
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1000$ per month.
Location:
This position is based in Os but may require occasional travel to other cities within the country for project site visits.
Employment Type:
This is a contract job with the potential for extension or full-time employment.
