Executive Chef at a Luxury Resort in Os, Norway
We are searching for an experienced and talented Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury resort in Os, Norway. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our resort's multiple dining outlets, including fine dining restaurants and casual cafes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating innovative and high-quality dishes, as well as excellent leadership skills to manage and train our kitchen staff. A degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience is required, along with previous experience working as an Executive Chef in a similar high-end setting. This is a temporary position with a salary of $900 per week, and includes accommodations and visa sponsorship. Applicants must have at least 12 years of education or equivalent work experience.
As the Executive Chef, your main responsibilities will include developing menus and recipes that showcase locally-sourced ingredients while also meeting the dietary needs of our diverse clientele. You will be responsible for managing food costs, inventory, and ordering supplies to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen. In addition to overseeing the kitchen staff, you will also be responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling new team members.
To excel in this role, you must have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments such as front-of-house staff and management. You should also have strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Previous experience managing budgets is also preferred.
